Scott Larson helps house and feed the homeless.
Scott Larson is the Executive Director of HomeAid Orange County and a volunteer on the Orange County Commission to End Homelessness. HomeAid leverages private developer’s donated goods and services to benefit of affordable housing and homeless shelters. The organization has raised $50 million to build and renovate 54 developments, adding 1,136 beds for those experiencing homelessness. Since joining the Commission in 2008, Scott has been a central leader in developing a 10-year plan to end homelessness. Scott has been instrumental in bringing together a coalition of advocates, including a member of the Board of Supervisors, City Managers and private industry. Since the completion of the plan, he has been a key voice at city council meetings in Fullerton for Permanent Supportive Housing, panels in Anaheim to support the Multi-Service Homeless Shelter, and policy decisions on homelessness in Orange County.
